Honoring Commitment to Safety at the Manufacturers Trust Annual Dinner

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual dinner in November. It’s always a highlight of our year to spend the evening with Members, clients, and partners who share a real commitment to keeping people safe and healthy at work.

We are proud to recognize Colt Recycling, LLC as the recipient of the 2024 Pigasus Award for their commitment to building and sustaining a strong safety culture. The Loss Control Pigasus Award is presented each year to a Member who has positively impacted their safety culture and exhibited outstanding commitment to worker health and safety. Loss Control selects the winner based on the following criteria:

• Dedication to implementing hazard controls, employee education, and safety innovations
• Outstanding safety culture or safety culture improvements
• Improvements to the organization’s Loss Ratio/Experience Mod
• Safety Committee activities (e.g., routine self-inspections, incident investigations, etc.)
• Return-to-Work/Availability of light-duty tasks
• Attendance and participation in the Loss Control Coordinator Academy

We would also like to recognize the 157 Members who earned No Lost Time Awards this year. These awards honor members who have not experienced a lost-time claim for six months or longer. A special congratulations goes to New England Small Tube who has gone 273 months (more than 22 years) without a lost-time claim. What an incredible achievement.

Additionally, the Board of Trustees has declared a $500,000 surplus distribution for this year. A total of 111 Member companies contributed to the surplus and received a distribution check.
